Hazelwood Local partnered with Hazelwood Initiative to deliver a series of events in celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to kick off 2023! On Thursday, January 12th, Hazelwood Local hosted an Open Mic Night at Hazelwood Cafe, followed by an interactive Crafts & Coffee event with local artist Edith Abeyta on Saturday, the 14th. Hazelwood Initiative hosted a culminating celebration brunch on Monday, January 16th at Community Kitchen PGH, featuring free face painting and a special screening of the documentary Hazelwood Alive.
