Hazelwood Local, in collaboration with the August Wilson African American Center, hosted an exciting circus-themed event that highlighted the intersection of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). The day was filled with engaging activities and performances, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the world of STEAM. Activities included carnival rides, screen printing, robotics, and slime-making, as well as a build-your-own spacecraft station. Throughout the day, performances by Iron City Aerial, the Eagle Burger Band, Sankofa Village for the Arts, and the Starry Messenger entertained and inspired attendees, making it a vibrant celebration of creativity and innovation in the Hazelwood community.
